As Guns N 'Roses vocalist Axl Rose said in an interview,: the song "Don't Cry" actually tells the story of the love triangle relationship between Axl, Izzy Stradlin (ex guitarist Gnr), and a woman they love. Therefore, the woman finally decided not to choose anyone because she wanted to keep Axl and Izzy feeling. That's what inspired Axl to write the song "Don't Cry."
